Leadville is this weekend

Cheer on Dave Peterman, as he works on his high elevation race, Leadville 100.  This is # 3 of 4 for the Grand Slam.

Popularly called “The Race Across the Sky”.  A very high elevation race- One hundred miles of extreme Colorado Rockies terrain — from elevations of 9,200 to 12,600 feet, at Hope Pass.

Leadville, Colorado is a very cool little town.  For a cheap (and clean!!) place to stay, check out the Leadville Hostel.  However, don’t try to get a room there during any big event, whether it’s the mountain bike race or foot race, the hostel is booked through 2014 for these weeks.  But give Wild Bill a call, he may have room for you, and it’s a cool place to stage out of for running/hiking 14’ers in the area.
